What's a good moving average crossover for swing trading stocks?

No, it's that they don't work very well. However there is some merit in them as support/resistance from the 50-day and 200-day (not crosses). Also... the market takes on a rhythm at times where a different MA acts well as support........ (I've seen where the 150-day and the 400-day have worked well. Not many indications from them being so long term, of course.)
NO wonder ;
the 400dma could work well= seldom gets hit/LOL.What you have to watch out for; if they start turning @220, then 444 ma may be a bit a bit slow/ but there is a place for turtles/LOL

So moving averages cross over .... both directions.

Are you looking to go short also?

If not my suggestion if you are a long only hodler, is don't bother with MA's if all you are trying to obtain is a 5-7% per trade return.

Don't trust anyone, learn how to test and then test yourself.
Even if someone looks like they know what they are talking about - still test it yourself.
Then test over multiple market cycles.

Just to show it's possible I coded a quick version.
It uses 10/100 fast/slow MAs and looks not too bad for last decade over NASDAQ100 stocks.

That looks better than his 25ma;
or 444 ma which can be very profitable;
but I seldom use the 444/too slow/drawdowns...……………………………………………...I think one of the older turtles uses a 400/but I don't remember his exact [number+ its best ''don't tell everything you know as my banker dad says'' [Its not that all are crooks/untrust worthy; its that any can make data mistakes + I never sell when IBD suggests selling.And frankly a 200/400 dma may have worked better if he never published that...………………………………………………]
