The SCOTUS decided you are not secure in the Kentucky case when the police were chasing a man and lost track of him and kicked open the door of someone smoking some weed n eating cheetos n watching Oprah. They arrested him because he was smoking weed and it got to SCOTUS and errors were made but in the pursuit of justice crap happens so he lost n Kentucky won. Kinda weird but there it is.
At least I hope it's scratchy like the kind you find in a gas station restroom.
I think that all this spying is nothing compared to the fact that police can kick in your door, shoot your dogs, intimidate your wife and children with automatic weapons and shoves to the floor then take the title to all your property without convicting you of a crime... Then the burden of proof is on you to get your property back. We've got Republicans to thank for all that shit. Fuck you Republicans, and the horse you rode in on..
If the War on Drugs was working it would limit the supply and that would drive prices up, right? Prices aren't higher afaik. In the '60's a few $5 bags of heroin would keep a junkie happy, nowadays it's said to be a few $10 bags.. so inflation adjusted figures don't lie, the price has actually declined!!
It's pretty obvious that the NSA can collect anything they can get their hands on. They are protected by the Secrecy apparatus. They can use said data against anybody they damned well feel like too, who's going to stop them? So encrypt sensitive stuff!! It's the same principle as never, ever, talking to police when they want answers. There are a zillion laws, many are vaguely written, it's impossible not to incriminate yourself, so just don't say anything...

It's not Obama BSAM it's every president that pushes the edge. It's the job of the congress to provide the checks and balances. And as Americans we willingly gave up many of our rights after 9-11. And even more importantly with the electronic age, data and records will be gathered. Just think about the detailed information credit companies have on us and they sell that info on the open market. Privacy will never be the same regardless of who is president or which party controls congress.
