And why might that be? I was just thinking about that today. Rich men are accomplished; they have achieved something. They don't sit around smoking pot and watching South Park and wondering why they have no women and no job.

I need someone to look up to. Usually in this world, achievement correlates to wealth. Not always, but usually. And the achievement is what I want.

I don't care about anyone's wealth but my own, but I care a great deal about surrounding myself with romantic prospects and friends who are productive, accomplished people.

If I were to get married - and that is not a goal at all - I would much rather come home to a man who had designed a house or built a company or created something than the dude who is high and watching South Park.

By the way 50% of marriages in Cali fail, and only God knows about the reality of the other 50%. And men are not " animals " it is simply in our biology to be that way whatever you accept it or not. You are in the minority every time you think we are animals or pigs. It is in our nature and eventually it will come out, again and again, that's why men got nothing to gain in a marriage.

I don't care if men marry. I think marriage has value but it's not my place to convince any man to marry (or woman for that matter.)

I do think most men come to value marriage more as they get older but that is not always the case.

Let me guess, if hypothetically things go wrong who is going to pay for the divorce ? He is going to fork you 50% of his company. How exciting where should he sign up ? There might be exceptions to the rules but usually men pay. Women hot or ugly tend to date men who make as much as they do or more.

The hotter the woman is the more financially stable and wealthy man she is going to get. The richer a man is the more desiderable woman he is going to get. It is not about me or my opinion. It is reality. You still can not give one good reason to marry, does not matter how much you write, well then, name just one male celebrity who married a fat woman, can you ? You can't, because there isn't any. Just like there are no good reason to marry.

love you, live with you, have kids and do just about EVERYTHING ELSE that he would do by being married !

Logical reason, you mean. Here are a few logical reasons:

Because everyone has a risk preference, and if he feels confident that he can survive me taking half of his wealth, the benefits outweigh the downside.

Because once you get to a point in a relationship where marriage is even a possibility, a certain level of trust must be present. Trust that his stuff is safe with his wife.

Because there are pre-nups to protect assets that each person owned before marriage.

Because he's not a paranoid asshole who thinks that women are only after his money.

Because <i>he wants to</i>.
