What would you choose...money or happiness?

I appreciate the aspect of your trading style that you've disclosed. If you don't mind sharing, what was the cause of you losing millions? Were you overleveraged and/or not properly hedged?

To the guy who gave a scholarship to his college, you are quite a guy, congrats on looking outside yourself. When I lived in NY and took the LIRR home everyday to the island from work, I used to buy boxes of donuts and give them to the homeless sleeping on the steps of the railroad after every winning trading day. So that means they got to eat at least twice a month. Hey, at least I was trying, right.

Being rich does not make you happy, but it sures makes you happier than being broke. Trust me on that one.

I would take the money, bcuz the pill will not work forever, i tried all kinds of drugs - after a certain time, they stop working....

Of course, money does NOT make you happy, but it gives satisfaction, especially, when you ve made the money on your own.

What makes me happy, is to help other people, yes with my money.....

You didn't get the premise. The pill WOULD work forever, doesn't matter what. No matter you are dying of cancer, you would be still happy.

well, then i would say,
it depends on the live situation. i mean if i would be 80 years i would take the pill and be happy stoned awaiting my dead.

But i am still young, so i would take the money and live my life, including feeling pain, because without pain there is no real happiness in life.....

So i am still taking the money...

Just picking up the thread at the end here - maybe somebody's already made the point.

If you were happy no matter what you'd have no motivation to do anything and would be dead within a couple of weeks of starvation.

I'd take the money.

Those who choose money are those who don't have much money, and they have the first hand experience that they could not possibly be happy without money.

Those who choose the pill are those who already have billions. They have first hand experience to know money can not buy everything.
