what would be a good/comprehensive/solid TA book?

i am not a fan of TA, i think most of it = BS, but i believe some of the tools/concepts are useful in understanding market actions.

I know the basics of TA and have read Murphy, TA Explained, Robert, etc. I am more interested in a book that covers most of the important techniques of TA in a compact manner + some insights. please suggest a solid book.

The two books in my library that I come back to every time I think I want to renew my interest in TA are:

The Encyclopedia of Trading Strategies by Katz and McCormick

Trading Systems and Strategies by Kaufman I have the third edition, but there is now a fourth edition.

I assume you meant "trading systems and methods," but I was thinking the same thing, particularly since his handle is econometrics...
Plenty of modern econometrics based knowledge the layman can follow in the book as well. It's a pretty large book, but very comprehensive-- only complaint, is it doesn't go beyond some of the basic themes covered (markov modeling for example) with many practical examples.
