What will Obama "Change"? What particular "Hope" does he offer?

What will Obama "Change"?

There are probably 400 old white guys in suits in Congress hopefully watching with their jaws dropped listening to a black man running for president. Obama, nominated, should elicit change even if he does nothing.

Round two of change, Pelin for vp. The old white guy in a suit took notice.

Pelin - "One heart beat away" from being Prez. Pelosi is two heart beats away, yikes.
 
Can't you just see the scene of the candidates writing their big speech.
Now what are we goin to have in the mix

1.A lot of patriotism and flag waving - the rednecks like that and it costs nothin
2. We're goin to save the economy - that should cheer up the jobless and we can forget about it as soon as we are elected
3. Bring in the american dream - thats been fooling the suckers for the last 50 years.
4.talk up family life - might have to show off the wife and kids
5. Appeal to the religious nuts by talking up God - he hasn't said a word since he talked to Moses on some mountain and we only have Moses' word for it.
6. Try not to pick my nose or fart - not that they are likely to notice by this time

Must'nt forget the sex angle. Sex sells everything these days. So a female VP, preferably with big boobs.
That reminds me - race is a big factor. Not many lgm ( little green men ) around, maybe an ethnic or better still a native American would clean up a load of votes. Park him/her back on the reservation after winning though

Well the discussion was about the son who is an attorney general.

But if you wish to change topics, I agree, lobbying needs to be strictly regulated. Last I heard, Republicans were strongly opposed to serious lobbying reform. McCain introduced a bill and even he voted against the lobbying reform bill that was finally passed.

So far, for example, McCain has received $181,000 from registered lobbyists, and Obama has received only $6000.

It points up just how hypocritical Obama is though. Apparently "change" and a "new kind of politics" involves guys who have been senator for 35 years, since age 30, and who are up to their eyeballs in Washington sleaze.

C'mon Dave. Get real. Obama is WAY WAY more hypocritical on this issue because he says no to contributions DIRECTLY from lobbyists but then allows bundlers to hide the transparency of those contributions. Not to mention what the hell is the diff between a candidate taking money from a REGISTERED lobbyist but then accepting bundled money from the EMPLOYESS of a firm which hires lobbyists? Given that "lobbyist" contributions in Presidential races range from only 1-2% of total monies collected it's a grandstanding issue anyways.

All politicians are on the take. Its called the House Rake. but at this point I am willing to take a gamble on Obama. I doubt he can do worse that Dilettante fratboy did over 8 years. And I do not want an ex-cheerleeder, Soccer Mom being a potential president. Obama seems more educated with a sharper mind. I prefer that than someone who is 72 and graduated close to last in his class.
