what was your Profit/Loss this year?

Cotton prices were up 90%. How does it feel that my underwear outperformed your trading account? :P

I root for all players, whether they beat me or not. Spectators are irrelevant.

Had you earned that in your account I would say, good on you, my warmest congratulations.

However, I doubt you are talking from any point of knowledge or accomplishment as cotton rose in the time frame I spoke of 85.3% by my calculations.

Success in this venue requires precision.

95% gain over last year (as of last month. New data not here yet).

Hope I can keep it up in 2011.

I do NOT adhere to the normal rules of investing or trading. Everything I do has its basis in math, not finance.

Good on you. My warmest congratulations.

Unfortunately, I didnt beat you in my trading account. My return was 41.99%. I also didnt start trading until around june or so because i was so sick from all the swings of 2009. That year I did 187% in all my combined trading accounts(not counting precious metals holdings), but at one point i was up 400%+ I was so sick when I lost 50% of that, that I said i wasnt going to trade for a few months(which turned into 6 months). Still a 187% return is pretty good, but when you lose the last few months, its hard to enjoy. I am happy with my last month trading this year though as december was a good month for me. I increased my account from 30% to almost 42% just in the last 30 days.

Congradulations on beating me though. I look forward to beating you next year. :)

(not really though...if I make it a competition i will screw up and lose money) :P

I would be pleased if you do. Let's hope it happens with both of us doing better than last year. It's 2011 now.

Happy New Year.

It's my belief that it's you against the market, not you against another trader. Or, you can even consider trading you against you seeing as phychology plays such a huge role in profitability, or the lack thereof. Both you guys beat me but I'm extremely happy with my returns because I beat the market and managed myself. That's the true goal in trading -- manage yourself and the money will follow.

If you made $1 million off a $100 million account, you didnt do so good, but some people think it sounds more impressive if you say you made a million dollars rather than say they made a 1% return. /B]

You're right and I feel terrible about it. I think I'll just take my 100 million and quit trading :(

nice year even though had to make a break on Q1 due to a string of losses. came back on Q3 and recouped the loss while adding a respectable 43% gain for the year. max dd for the year was 31%.

only trade statistical strategies on indexes and commodities.
