What to tell my neighbors about my trading career.

Here's a hard realization -

You are about to spend 24 hrs of your life concerned about what someone else thinks. Even in the unlikely event that you only thought about it for a brief period of time today, it is still time that you will never get back.

The guy's probably pissed off that he (or his parents) had to work 90 hr weeks to build his business just so that he can live next door to someone who in his eyes does not work for a living.

Heads up bro, you already have the best revenge in that...flaunt it. Let him come home from work and see you picking your nose on your front porch.

Tell then you made a killing in the 2000 NAZ bull market, got out right at the top, retired, and never have to work again :D

This way they all think you are a millionare, and it will piss them off that you got out while they all took a loss :D

Quote from Gottschalk:

Wow, those people are retarded. Many professors make loads of money not only from salary but also from consulting.

Jeese these people have no imagination.

If it bothers you that much move because your neighbors are ass holes.

I mean if you say to someone you are a salesman you could be making 20k, or 2m. I mean who the hell knows.

Let me guess they are all lawyers and doctors and can't imagine there is another way to make money.

Very true

Love the response " Oh you're in a small business ,are you keeping busy? and then people are shocked when you turn down some low profit work.

I had two professors (one in Accounting and one in Marketing) that made so much money from consulting (they both had extensive business experience) that they donated their salaries right back into the University's endowment.

tell them your a internet porn meglomaniac business man...and now your thinking of branching to offshore gambling sites and mail order prescription drugs.

and your thinking of moving in a few weeks and looking to rent your home out.
