What to do when you are ready to lose your mind from trading?

I agree with other traders that you might be lacking money management. Even after picking 80% of winners, poor money management can cause you lose everything and much more in 20% of the losing trades.
Money management is the deal breaker. No matter how well you are with your technical skills. If you are not good with money management, you can’t win.

From the description, it sounds like the system is too broad. Outside RTH and RTH, are two completely different animals. Within RTH there is enough variation from time of day and type of day to deal with.

Combined with a human variation, like you described, is enough instability that a drawdown is evitable. As evitable as a profit streak.

Consider narrowing down the "applicability" of the system, as a way to get back into it. Or eliminate the human factor.

IMO, just because you can trade a system manually, does NOT mean it is sustainable. It is easy to maintain for a week or 3, but "trading fatigue" is a real thing.

Hope that helps,

The psychological analogy of trading for a lot is similar to being stuck within an infinity death loop inside some Isekai. In which, you respawn at checkpoint but retain all your memories after each death.

You either get stuck to the point you begin to lose your mind in the process or eventually learn from all your mistakes and redeem yourself one day.

Why did we lose our mind in the first place? Many traders lack confidence in their trading system or don’t have the skills. They take the risk they are not ready to take. You can’t get back what you lost, but you can make sure the next time you trade you proceed with precaution.

Relaxing your muscles and controlling your breathing can go a long way toward reducing the intensity of emotion. The same is the case with forex emotions. So to have control over my emotions, I prefer taking a short break.

In a situation like this, I normally prefer to relax and take a break from trading because it allows me to rest while creating less stress, more clear thinking and better productivity.
