What to do? Very sick visitor's car.

So I was just asked to give my opinion on this for the building board meeting tomorrow and I don't know what to say. It's not idea next to reception but...

Obviously there is a regular visitor's car that is very unwell.

Tell the owner the car is not allowed?
Given them lots of cardboard to put under and behind it?

Ignore it until car dies of natural causes?

I'm leaning twoards telling them to park a few levels down in a space nobody sees? Though if the car is this much of an oily mess, it could be a fire risk.

Tell that to the several vehicles I've seen on fire, more of an issue when the oil gets too low. Fuel leaks are the worry with an unmaintained car.

Anyway, I have asked security to have a talk with the owner. He or she could at least put a Banksy stencil behind the exhaust.

It's not the oil that is the cause of the combustion but usually the belts, turbos, etc. The flash point of gas is <500F. Oil is closer to 700 or more.

Temps which happen in an under lubricated engine.

I had an old car we used at the country place, 2003 and the sound/fire carpet on the bulkhead slipped off, touched the front part of the exhaust and had so much oil residue and accumulated dust it started to wick. Had it been driving it might have had enough air to combust.

Rare is not never and very old cars can have completely crystallised wiring looms too.. Particularly if French :)

Apparently it is a Renault 9.

Probably cost 300 bucks shipping here. Thankfully we have cleaners, they will throw a bit of blue washing powder on it and scrub with sweeping brushes.

Turns out it's one of the security guard's cars. I loaned my boroscope and the piston rings are fine but at least two injectors are super rich, the car has no ERG or carbon cannister anymore, that was just bypassed. Colombia has an annual vehicle check just... Some find ways to bypass it.

Injectors will at least stop it rolling coal. :)
