Given that everyone who is anyone knows inflation is coming in a big way (already here in fact, getting way worse for sure however), what kinds of stock do the best vis-a-vis others when inflation gets nice and gnarly? Consumer staples (can raise prices)? Finance companies (make more $$$ when interest rates go up to fight the inflation)? Any ones that get especially devastated and one must stay away from?
Any thoughts appreciated!
Thanks.
There are no 'stocks that do great in inflationary environment'. Inflation is happening all the time, not just last six months. You should look at trends and ride them. In the 70s stocks went nowhere, but gold went up huge. In the last year gold made zero, however crypto made insane returns. Does this mean we have deflation when crypto goes down? No. And btw. nobody knows what will be hot next year.
