Her death is unfortunate. I actually feel more sorry for the law enforcement officer in this situation. This was probably an accidental discharge of his weapon. He is likely to face discipline and lose his job over it... and then face civil/criminal action in the court system.

The woman was already on the ground with other demonstrators. There was a photo with another guy beside her. They were prone, on the ground and not resisting at all. Cops had their guns pointed at them. He was negligent to point his gun on a demonstrator on the ground. So, should be suspended as a minimum. If it was an Antifa or BLM thug, he would be up on murder charges for starters so, he should consider himself lucky.

My guess is that she was trying to climb through the opening left by the broken out window.

Shooter was on the other side of that window, defending that space.

First one trying to climb through gets the stupid-prize.

It is not clear yet. The initial reports claimed the shot came through a door, window or wall.... and it was discharged from a law enforcement officer. However there is no confirmation yet on any of this.

I see. I assume she was a protester if she was only 16, rather than a government staffer.
