I agree, to the extent that the concern is about the jury pool, rather than the public solely. Yes, I know they are related; but the distinction is important to my position:they're gonna have to make the case in the court of public opinion to avoid coming across as partisan
Caring about what the public thinks in general, is distinct from the goal of being able to obtain a jury willing to exact justice.
Since the pool is a subset of the public, I am, unfortunately, therefore relegated to being concerned about optics, as you suggest we must be.
