What RT commish on the YM could I expect to negotiate with only 2-3 trade/mo with 5k

With that little of volume, commission is really not a factor. Reliability and a financial strong clearing firm should be your top priority.
 
I would negotiate the best price possible. With 3-4 round trips per month the commissions will really stack up.

If things go really well, I could give them 2 contracts in about 6 months?

I know people who go to more trouble for a 1% reward on their credit card...

at least posting on ET is free...and the abuse is priceless...

I am getting back into Futures trading and as many have advised (myself included) get back in small...

funny thing I have prolly traded more contracts than 80% of this board has...

I have a Futures account and I can make a call and get any commission I want..now I know I can get around 3.50- 5.75. I do not want to be a pig when they ask me what i want, as they will prolly give me anything I want.

I do not care to win this argument...Thanks guys...
