His statement that the schism between civs and soldiers in the pentagon came to a boiling point shortly after Rumsfeld came in, sounds highly plausible to me. I wouldn't be surprised if a coup was close at hand, at the time, or now still is. I'm even unsure if I wouldn't welcome such a coup now. It seems that the Bush moron is intent on destroying even the last bits of hope we had in the few months he's still in power. He is ignoring every piece of advice he gets from high experts and doing the exact opposite, everytime. It has now come so far that I think: if Bush decides to so something it must be the wrong choice.
Anyway, the more I read bout this issue the more I'm certain that the simple story we were fed is not the truth. As the truth comes out in the coming years the biggest victim will be the high-profile media the will have forever lost their role as reliable and inquisitive source for the general public.
