True, it is a shameless plug. But if a retired general is able and willing to write (and plug) a book like that, there is cause for a closer look.
His statement that the schism between civs and soldiers in the pentagon came to a boiling point shortly after Rumsfeld came in, sounds highly plausible to me. I wouldn't be surprised if a coup was close at hand, at the time, or now still is. I'm even unsure if I wouldn't welcome such a coup now. It seems that the Bush moron is intent on destroying even the last bits of hope we had in the few months he's still in power. He is ignoring every piece of advice he gets from high experts and doing the exact opposite, everytime. It has now come so far that I think: if Bush decides to so something it must be the wrong choice.

Anyway, the more I read bout this issue the more I'm certain that the simple story we were fed is not the truth. As the truth comes out in the coming years the biggest victim will be the high-profile media the will have forever lost their role as reliable and inquisitive source for the general public.

I can understand the desire to utilize any opportunity of free advertisement when possible but what I don't trust is when a so called retired general writes a conspiracy book but offers up zero specific data in an interview to support it. It's not a hard stretch as to why he'd write this book though. There is a market for the conspiracy buffs out there. Do we look at Dan Brown's "Devinci Code" as gospel? Well some do. That doesn't necessarily make it the truth though. I guess what I'm getting at is if this guy really has hard evidence that 9/11 isn't what we were lead to believe then present the facts, leave out the opinions. If he'd presented hard tangible facts in that interview then his books might have some weight to them, but as it was presented it's just one more crackpot theory. Along time ago while working a late shift, the radio was tuned into the Art Bell show. The episode was concerning some secret alien artifacts or something that the government (Bill Clinton's era) was hiding. Just for shit and giggles I called the group and got their newsletter. It turned out to be some Christian group angry with Bill. I suspect this guy isn't far from the same.
