So now I guess it comes down to what was less complicated.....
1. Terrorists decide to teach America a lesson-they decide to fly planes into buildings.
2.they come to America and take some flying lessons. they can't take off and land for shit , but they can fly...
3.US intelligence isn't able to talk the FBI to prevent it-Gorelick's little contribution.
4. and anyways, being in the US and taking flying lessons isn't against the law, so it would be dificult to arrest them anyway.
5. they succed, the buildings burn enough to warp the joists, causing failure of 1, then 2,3,4 joists. and a chainreaction results that brings down all 3 , similarly built buildings.

1.Neocons decide they need a new PH to enact the changes that will result in some mystical new world order where they will be able to control everyone's life , with the help of Mossad, the International Zionists Bankers Union, etc, etc...
2.they also decide they need to invade Iraq to secure its' oil. and hey let's throw up a smoke screen in Afghanistan too to hide our true intentions of wanting to line the pockets of our oil buddies. so don't forget to incriminate al-quaeda
3.let's wire up all 3 buildings now with explosives, but be sure to drop then in their own footprints, because we want to minimize the losses. and besides, according to our demo experts, all buildings fall that way, so it shouldn't cause any suspicion..

8. do we have the remote controls all ready on the planes? good. do we have some passports and body parts from the people we paid off to throw around at the crash sites? good.
9. looks like we're good to go.....
When you look at the entire plan there, it kinda falls apart using Occam, eh?
What's lost in all this is that the moonbats deride Bush and his cohorts - Cheney, the now departed Rumsfeld, Rice, et al - and all the alphabet agencies (CIA, etc.) for their incompetence, lack of intelligence, and negligence on umpteen issues YET they willingly believe that the same mentally-challenged President and his cronies had the intelligence and cunning to plan and execute the 9/11 attack and hide all evidence of having done so.

couldn't you also flip occams razor there and ask, what's simpler: orchestrating a vast governmental conspiracy, or sitting on what you know and letting a politically expedient attack transpire, in other words, do nothing
Which only goes to prove that Cheney, Bush, Rummy and the rest are Alien Beings from a far away galaxy. How else could this have occurred without detection, or any leaks afterwards. Yep! All those people that conspired are back home on planet Whack Job yukking it up. It's only a matter of time before they take over planet earth. Rumor has it they want to make earth some kind of vacation spot for the wealthy aliens from around the universe. Fucking developers, they're everywhere.

Your close, Bush and company are aliens but not looking to create a vacation spot for all the little green men. He's trying to soften up the humans so our new overlords can sweep in and start herding us like cattle. George and the crew are just trying to get in on the ground floor of the "feeder humans" market.

However, you still have the problem with leaks. You know, Bush and the boys aren't out there gathering intel themselves, right?

1. Gov't was incompetent in stopping 9/11.

2. The gov't knew fully well what was gonna happen, but EVERYONE that knew the full story is saying nothing.
ok so it seems like we've reduced the 2 side of the equation by an order of complexity, down from a vast conspiracy to a more objective assumption that everyone who knows isn't talking. does 2 now also contain a corollary assumption that anyone outside bush's cabinet was complicit as well? or an assumption that his intelligence was anything more than objective input?
maybe the 2 side is simpler as 2. the president knew what could happen with incentives not to intervene
