Before, SOES trading in 1995, I was a financial consultant / stockbroker for approx 6 years. All of the success and knowledge I attained during that time, served as nothing more than a mental handicap. I mistakingly thought I would be head and shoulders (pardon the pun) above the rest. I saw landscapers, postal workers, cops, and housewives who barely knew the difference between preferred stock and livestock that were printing money. That was the initial seduction, I was thinking "I'm going to take so much money from these poor bastards!" I was soon humbled, and learned only through experience that it takes alot more than a Wall Street background to be a successful trader. Fortunately, I reached consistent weekly profitability after only 3-months in January 1996 , and have not had a losing week since.

During my long experience (relative to the age of point and click trading), I can say that almost every single person with a Wall St background who I have met, taught and mentored has the toughest and longest learning curve, since they spend at least 6-months battling their ego. Those with no related background fare much better, they don't have the preconceived notions.

You caught me. :D :D :D
Let's see how I get out of this one:
When I worked at academia and Wall Street, I did not understand how the system worked. For ten years, I paid no attention to politics, always ready to switch jobs to seek the perfect working environment. Of course, this is daydreaming --- Eden does not exist.......
