What does this nonsense even mean?
The idea that the welfare system can or should be cut because it makes it too comfortable for the small minority that abuse it is just plain ludicrous. The majority of folks on assistance actually do need the assistance. It's that simple. The best way to provide that assistance is through government. The best way to insure that everyone across this UNITED states is treated equally and don't have to grovel at the steps of churches, is to have the Federal govt do it. Just as the best way to protect the environment of the nation is through federal authority. Pollution and poverty know no boundaries.

that is why so many of us have learned to despise the establishment. idiots like fc think we should love the govt and just tax more because there are some people in need. its not a lose / lose when you cut govt.
with a proper allocation of resources we could have a balanced budget a safety net and no personal income taxes. I am sure of it. Cut a little waste from every program. What would happen is the establishment would lose some of their donors. One of our major problems is these guys are other peoples crooks because of campaign bribery laws.
