I like this DJ too, but I rarely listen to techno. It's mostly trance and house, sometimes rock, if I'm in a lazy mood. When I need to calm down and meditate a little, I listen to the water sound effects. It calms me down and clears my thoughts.

Music/Songs can make you demented, overly emotional, irrational and impatient. All detrimental to a successful trader.

You should listen to longer stuff...like documentaries, audio book stories or more subtle background, natural, noises.

Classical for me, helps relax me and keep my BPM down when I see all the charts and tape go haywire on the open.

I prefer instrumental music, if I listen to music at all. Lyrics distract me because I start listening to them rather than looking at the chart.
