What lot size is used for volume bar charts?

It is my understanding that volume bar charts complete a candle/bar when x number of shares/contracts/lots are traded. For shares and contracts its pretty straight forward, but for lots, what size lots are typically used to count the volume? Micro, mini, standard?

I think Micro account is more useful for the new Forex trader. It is much safe. I always like to trade with small risks. Therefore, I always open my trade with small lots size.
