What leverage should be good for a newbie to use?

If you're in Europe and subject to ESMA regulations then max retail leverage will be 1:30 on major pairs, less on minor pairs and indices.
Heck I hate those regulations. I use a an offshore broker called Forexchief, offers up to 1:1000, nobody needs up to that but the freedom is priceless. Those strict regulation only benefits the regulators. If you don't have up to 100k lying around, you need leverage to trade Forex.

An offshore broker that offers 1:1000? Is it by any chance run by a Nigerian prince?

I agree, That's way too much. Plus I don't see the point, traders barely use that much leverage plus the broker is offshore, I mean I honestly don't see much potential there.

LOL! Seems like a lucrative scheme. But yes, 30x sounds right with my current broker (fxview). the lower the better.
I prefer to do forex trading with a broker who has sound regulations with low leverage. Better safe than sorry.

Leverage is solely a trader's choice. Most professional traders use the 1:100 ratio as a balance between trading risk and buying power. What is the best leverage level for a beginner? If you are a novice trader and are just starting to trade on the exchange, try using a low leverage first (1:10 or 1:20).

Not a chance... Very few if any professionals use 1:100. Actually very few use as much as 1:20. It is only amateurs, gamblers and beginners that would use high leverage. Because it is only a matter of time before you will lose everything

I am new in Forex and curious to know what leverage should be good for a newbie to use and also is it true that high leverage high risk? Plz, give your suggestions.
Keep it till the level of your risk appetite. Higher leverage = higher risk. As a newbie, I used to keep it low.

First do not blindly assume high leverage is dangerous.
We wouldn't be able to give you the appropriate answer.

Leverage can be helpful;
except when losing or learning.
So the best way to do it/ cut back leverage when one is losing/learning;
if they are buying for example @ support, may want to put on the rest of position.
Good thing i did not try to learn trading on tqqq or sqqq=way TOO MUCH LEVERAGE.
SINCE no one can predict;
i sometimes use no leverage also/especially when i trade something new=every market differs...............................................................................................................
