Just aim for your comment about a "decent income" whatever that means to you as a retail day trader or a trader at a financial institution.

Some people's heads go to the moon -- and immediatley take this trading world into a pissing contest.
Which I personally feel is the wrong approach, and an almost sure path to failure or ruins
Trading is, or should be, an individual sport. -- You should only be playing against yourself.
It's just you vs the big, bitchy, mean monster of the market. -- Everything else is of non-relevance;
Everyday it's David/you vs Goliath.
On the way to the Promise Land is filled with distractions and evilness that will just misled you.
Trading for a certain goal is kind of like a movie or story. -- it's filled with drama and twists and turns.
