Sorry to belabor the point, but that still doesn't tell me what the Q-Doctor actually does. With his hands, or instruments or whatever. How, exactly, does he busy himself attending to his patient?The Chinese believe that there is a vital energy flowing through what are called meridians in the body. Illness is caused when this vital flow (qi) is blocked or deficient. It is the goal of TCM (traditional Chinese medicine) to properly regulate this flow and level. Until recently, modern science has not recognized meridians but recent research (Western and Eastern research) has detected bio-electric energy running pretty much along where the Chinese always said it did. This is a separate system from vascular and neural pathways.
