Depends on which regulation you ask. Some claim it's a commodity, other's claim it's some other form of a security.
To be honest, you can see a contrast between crypto and equity stocks even.
New ones are added to the stock indexes all the time, while others are delisted.
Some companies go belly up bust and implode, some blue-chips like Enron even turn out to be utter frauds.
There are a shitload of zombie companies out there, just like crypto that have no utility value, but for unknown reasons, the retailer keeps pumping the stock values up.
There is no end to the speculative penny-stock losers, just as the never ending train of shit-coins as well. Both investors are hoping to get rich off them by being cheap.
There is no power in fools gold don't but shill spotted and noted, so I can put you in a category with 900 million other gullible fools
