Quote from TheConMan:
Quote from I am...:
Yes, it's possible to just think and become a "router" among a web of minds.
But that only works for open minds, so-to-speak.
For most of us; pure consciousness will come only after exiting and divorcing our consciousness from the illusion which is our current reality.
Once the contamination is removed, only then will we realize that we are NOT a god. Only pure consciousness, which is a characteristic of God.
This possibly comes close to what I am trying to get across to you.
Being a part of the greater consciousness does not make you a god.
As always, a pre-thought contaminated with VANITY along with the need to fulfill the needs of an insatiable ego; will always terminate into a incorrect logical conclusion.
Gautama Buddha left a great legacy following a tremendous accomplishment.
When Buddha said, "I am awake", he meant he realized that he was not actually a participant in the illusion, but the maker of the entire illusion.
Still, there is another step required, where the mind that is the maker of the illusion chooses
completely against itself in favor of God.
This Buddha accomplished in his next incarnation, and very easily.
As it stands, Buddhism is the world's most psychologically sophisticated religion.
But it does not handle the issue of God.
It does transcend all dimensions, reaching the mind in a non-place that is completely outside of time, space and form.
It does achieve oneness with this mind, the mind that makes the duality waves.
This is
not God. So you are correct in that.
Yet all this means is that God has not yet been reached, for God has nothing to do with the mind that makes the duality waves, even that mind that is outside of time and space.
This mind represents pure consciousness. But once again, consciousness is not an invention of, an attribute of, or a creation of God.
Spirit precedes consciousness.
Consciousness represents the beginning of a dream state, which gives rise to all of the illusion, which is ultimately transcended in spite of the various bardos.
Consciousness marks the first level of perception from which all other levels flow...all of the bardos.
Consciousness was the first split introduced into the mind after the idea of separation was taken seriously, making the mind a perceiver rather than a creator.
Consciousness is correctly identified as the domain of the ego. The ego is nothing more than a part of your belief about yourself.
Perception did not exist until the separation idea introduced degrees, aspects and intervals.
Spirit has no levels, and all conflict arises from the concept of levels.
Perception always involves some misuse of mind, because it brings the mind into areas of uncertainty.
There is no uncertainty in Heaven, because there's nothing but everything.
Consciousness brings with it a conscious
choice to make. Before that, there was nothing to choose between.
Consciousness represents the first division of the mind. At that point, Heaven is just a memory.
With consciousness, there are two possible responses to the idea that there can be a separation from God. This gives rise to a second division. Another choice is made and the mind continues to divide and subdivide.
Whenever the mind divides, it's new condition is reality to it...and its former condition is denied and forgotten.
A psychologist would call this repression except the magnitude of these early divisions are far beyond what any human could be aware of. And what has been repressed is now unconscious.
Unconsciousness is a device of the mind. It is ignorance conjured in order to have an experience.
It is still possible to remember that which has been denied, but without help, it would be highly unlikely for you to remember that which you have dissociated..."you" meaning that part of your mind that makes decisions.
Keep in mind, separation never really occurred. It transpires within perception.
Had the decision been made that nothing has happened, then nothing else would have transpired in perception. But another decision is made leading to a third split in the mind. This decision was in favor of a reward for continuing to believe in separation. The reward offered a sense of temporary existence, individual, very special, and uniquely important.
As part of this mind, I was there with you, making these decisions. I woke up early from the sleep these decisions induced mainly because I did not believe as much in the general idea that separation could be realized.
Once decided, the third division repressed the Voice that said, "Separation has not occurred. Merely perceive your mind, whole, as it is, to be returned. Return your whole mind to God"
At this point we became identified with the ego. Fortunately, our mind is holographic by the grace of God. So even when the mind seems to subdivide, each part maintains the characteristics of the whole - so you can't ever really be lost. And although what we really are has been pushed aside, and the truth has been forgotten, it is still there - buried in your mind.
The mind is very powerful. At this metaphysical level, the entire universe of time, space and form is just a few decisions away. The result will be an alleged "you" who is now totally unaware of the real power that is available to you. Instead, this "you" is virtually mindless and seemingly stuck in a body.
The idea of separation is a foundation stone. It is impossible. But as it was taken seriously, and illusion was substituted for truth, what else could come of it? The magnitude of this one error can hardly be realized. It was so vast, and so incredible that a world of unreality
had to emerge.
The fearful fragmented aspects of this world do not even begin to show you the enormity of the original error. The error seemed to cast us out of Heaven, shatter knowledge into meaningless bits of disunited perceptions, and to force us to make further substitutions.
Upon the foundational cornerstone of separation, an entirely foreign thought system was built. So foreign, it had to be "learned". Basically, we made it up as we went along. In other words, we built a magnificent mansion on a foundation of sand.
They say, "the rest is history", but in this case, the rest is hallucination.
At this point, you are under a spell. Yet you are not asked to dispel your hallucinations alone.
Against this sense of temporary existence, spirit offers you the knowledge of permanence and unshakable being. This is accomplished through an
experience. No one who has experienced the revelation of this knowledge can ever fully believe in the ego again. This experience shows you that you never really left Heaven, and allows you to compare the glorious gifts of God to the ego's meager offerings.
Although it is beyond all words, Heaven has the characteristics of perfection, changelessness, and formlessness. It is also abstract, eternal, innocent, whole, abundant, and complete Love. It is reality and it is Life. There, God and Christ and Christ's Creations are perfect oneness. There is nothing else. This is the domain of God's Will - the knowledge of the Father.
To describe the experience of your awareness of this perfect oneness is not really possible, but I assure you that you will know it when you have a temporary experience of it. It's not quite like anything else you are familiar with.
