Quote from dave74:
What happens after we die?
Here's the deal. We are ALL GOING TO DIE ONE DIE. That's fact. It's not something we like to think about, but it's true.
Death is merely a door that goes from one room to the next.
What you find in that room as you pass through the door is what you carry with you as you make the passage.
If it is escape you seek through death, then you will shortly find an equal desire to escape from that room back into life.
What is pictured as the world of death and what is conceived of as the world of physical life is no different.
Both are dream worlds.
If you are interested in waking up from birth-death scenarios, take note of something I said long ago:
Quote from Gospel of Thomas:
(59) Jesus said, "Take heed of the Living One while you are alive, lest you die and seek to see him and be unable to do so."
On either side, it is the same mind, sleeping, dreaming.
But strange as it may seem, the options and choices you have available in this realm make it far easier for you to choose to be awake.
So you see, death does not really solve anything, or imply a decision.
Conversely, death symbolizes indecision. A choice has not been made to deny death...or to awaken to Self - the "Living One".
You may ask, if this is a dream, why is death necessary?
In a word, it's not.
It is only your acceptance of it that makes it apparently so.
Should you at this moment absolutely discard the very firm belief that you hold, you would no longer experience death.
You believe:
I was born
I will die
There is a beginning
There is an end
There are transitions
You simply transfer the meaning of these beliefs into your physical experiences.
If they had no more meaning to you, how could you experience them?
Some see infinite life as going between carnate and incarnate states.
But if they saw infinite life as a continuous flow without the need for interruption, then that would be the way they experienced it.
Too simple?
If you don't have a problem with this, you will never die.
You may think, there is too much evidence to the contrary.
But many have moved through this thought process as I have described. You don't see them because it is outside the scope of what you are willing to accept and believe.
Instead, here is how it works:
As you expand in the scope of the limitation within which you currently operate, you will see all of the world expanded to fit those new parameters.
If you think you must change because the world changes, you are reacting to the illusion. It has nothing to do with the state of the Truth, of the state of your Self, which is the state of the Living One.
Truth exists within your Mind and as it becomes more apparently reflected through you, everything you see in the light of its reflection becomes more truthful.
Perfection exists at this moment because perfection is the Will of God. It cannot change. It has never changed. It never will change.
It is only your perception of perfection that seems to fluctuate, and as your perception fluctuates you see different depths of this truth.
For example, iit's like if you want to be able to see white, but your perception allows you only to see black. As you allow your perception to gradually expand, you will be able to see various shades of grey, your world will take on and be colored by whatever shade of black or grey that is reflective of your vision at the moment.
Should your body die, it will be taken care of in a pattern that is in keeping with your thinking at the time you decide to leave it.
However, should you be at a stage where you are absolutely convinced that your desire is to take your body with you, and you know to the depths of your being that this is a choice that you are fully capable of exercising, then you may take it with you.
Should you take the body with you it would be recognized as your body, but it's nature would conform to the nature of the experiences that you were choosing to have at that time.
Should you no longer choose to use the physical state of being to implement your waking, then you will not experience the physical state again.
This does not mean that because you choose not to be in a physical state that you will automatically wake up.
You may still have a sense of limitation existing in a limited state of mind as opposed to being aware of Mind in its entirety. That state of mind will exist with you until you have released the limitations of it.
This has nothing to do with being in or out of physical existence.
If you decide to awaken completely, I cannot tell you what your choices will be regarding the physical. I can say to you that most find the body to be a hindrance when they are in full recognition of the limitlessness that they truly possess. They choose to have experiences that are, by nature, more limitless.
Being in a state without limit allows you latitudes that you would now think to be quite an extraordinary feat.
As an example, you could go visit yourself in a past incarnation and strike up a conversation. You could show him or her that your body is as solid as his or hers. You could show him or her various forms of bodies that you have incarnated over the span of your journeys in this dream world of time. You could rolodex through thousands of bodily forms you've used in the course of an hour, leaving your conversation partner dumbfounded.
You have created your body, albeit in a very roundabout way which masks the fact that you have. Pregnancy, gestation, birth...these shroud the fact that you are doing it to yourself
Once you find yourself beyond the limits that you currently abide by, you will recognize your ability to create a body as being extremely simple.
You see, the creative process is that you simply decide that it will be so...whatever you bring into your mind are the experiences you choose to have.
At the time you remember how awake you really are, this process becomes more vivid. You recognize the process for being exactly what it is and you merely employ it.
For the unlimited Mind, it is as easy to create a body as it is to create a star. You pull these things out of "thin air" so-to-speak.
With a limited state of mind, your methods of creating a body are not so impressive. Generally, you will methodically choose parents whose genes seemingly make that particular type of body most easily obtainable.
But that too is part of your dream. It is simply the way you mask the true creation of the body which you had wished to have.
The creation of that body takes place coincidentally as you are creating the experiences.
You create the experiences of aging and death, and the body is continuously changing to be compatible with those experiences. If you choose the experience of illness or an accident, the body will change to fit that pattern as well. It is an accommodation to the experience. And it serves to identify to you what consequences you have attached to the experience.
As you come to a point of understanding your experiences, you will come more and more to recognize that there are no consequences and that will be one of the reasons you will begin to wonder what the purpose of the body is truly for.
The body has been given a bad rap to some degree. Let us honor the body for the purpose it fulfills in bringing to your conscious recognition the fullest possible aspect of the experience that you have chosen to have.
