You might be right, but if scalping was not my strategy, then I wouldn’t have any strategy. I only rely on level 2 to trade, and I wouldn’t know what my strategy is.

Long term: Eventually finding monthly/weekly/daily highs/lows for counter trend and always hedge so I don't go broke, then seek deep retracements to add on with the trend.
Swing: am directional......
Day trading: Wait for retail stops to be hit, go with the trend.
Automate ........

That's almost the exact
same as mine;
except i collect some interest, not much, some dividends.
Use mostly ETFs+ stuff like spxl, tqqq, QQQ ........And seldom go to Starbucks or MCD\ do some XOM + MCD coffee both are overpriced \LOL[The black gold juice, is overpriced @ sbux, xom]dont have an opinion on the stocks.
Dont do options except REALTY options aka=mortgage some times, not lately.I use auto moving 50dma, 200dma......averages with discretion.,

Mine is day trading SPX, at the money strike, weekly options. If you can time, trade, capture the day's major, single, macro movement....you can truly make nice money and grow an account fast.

I don't understand how traders use only one kind of strategy in forex. I prefer using both position trading and scalping strategies for my trades. I think different strategies should be used to complement each other and to confirm the signals.
