What is with the giant spread in CCJ?

This uranium stock trades with high volume but the bid and spread gap is criminal in the June calls. I have never seen a gap that unfair to the seller.

Can anyone explain this to me? I guess it is just caveat emptor, and whoever buys is a sucker?

I see nothing out of the ordinary. http://finance.yahoo.com/q/op?s=CCJ&m=2012-06

I think you should be more worried about the empty gap between your ears.

Nevermind, it looks like the quotes I was using at bigcharts.com were inaccurate. I also see huge gaps in the bid and ask for USU June 1.00 calls that have me frustrated, but this is a penny stock.

How big is the spread that you think is criminal?

Glad it's resolved. Closing quotes are often unreliable. You have to look at these things in real time. Then, if the spreads are still Holland Tunnel wide, the options should eb avoided.

10-4, thank you.
