Yes. I am the creator of the software.

I looked at Collective2 but do not see the benefit of integrating the 2 systems.

The CoolTrade system comes with many built-in strategies that are doing well for many. Additionally you can download many proven strategies from the website.

We already have a live simulator for testing strategies, have full automation built-in, and connect to brokers offering the lowest competitive trading rates in the industry, as low as $1 a trade.

Also, the CoolTrade strategies are created within the CoolTrade software via a point-and-click interface. As such, they are interpreted by the CoolTrade fully automated trader. Strategies created inside CoolTrade cannot be exported to other trading systems.

Can Cooltrade be connected to prop shop platforms such as Rediplus or Anvil?
 
The CoolTrade system tracks intraday rules and triggers it's own alerts.

At this time, it is not set up to get intraday buy/sell signals from external sources.

However, it can get it's watch list (at startup) from any source that can export symbols to a file. It can get it's symbol input from up to 5 user defined files. the system can use the symbols from the files exclusively, or the contents of the files can be added to the symbols selected by the watch list rules specified in the strategy.

Thus far, we haven't had any requests to get trade signals, on an intraday basis, from external sources. I don't imagine it would be difficult to add that functionality if there were sufficient demand.

- How many strategies are currently available?
- How many strategies have been traded for at least a year?
- Do the monthly profits shown include slippage and transaction cost?
- What sorts of statistics are available to evaluate these strategies? E.g. Sharpe ratio? Is it possible to see the equity curves of those strategies?

I just wrote a whole page and then my browser terminated. Ouch! Therefore, I'm going to have to give you the shorted version.

- How many strategies are currently available?

These 7 Strategies that come with the system:

* Conservative Long and Conservative Short (4 years old)

* Aggressive Long and Aggressive Short (2 years old)

* SMA Long Swingtrade and SMA Short Swingtrade (6 months old)
(this strategy is shown as the top strategy on the website multiple days each week)
* $2.00 and Below Long strategy (10 months old)
(many clients have reported 10% per month returns with this one)

Under the Strategies section of the Website, you can also download CoolTrade member strategies. There are 5 long and 5 short strategies available. These strategies show their stats on the website. Also the stats are computer generated and a strategy will automatically be eliminated from inclusion on the website if any manual trades are made. Stats on the website show how many days these strategies have run, and their returns.

No. Most of these strategies only make a few trades a day. So trades fees are minimal.

As stated above, you can view the average returns on the website, next to each strategy. We haven't done anything like Sharpe ratios and equity curves, and the such.

Remember, these are user strategies. Even the strategies provided with the system are easily modified by the users. Any stats generated are inside their systems and not readily available to the company.

The company's focus has been to create a easy to use, point-and-click system that can be used by anyone, without any programming knowledge. We have the full range of members, ranging from absolute beginners who have never traded the market and only run the default strategies provided, to the technical specialist who is creating his own strategies from scratch.

Please do not thing that CoolTrade is selling strategies. Yes the system comes with pretty good strategies that have profitable return which have a lot of people excited. But another power of the system is it's strategy creation simplicity.

Anyone can be up and running in 5 minutes.

If I do not want to use one of the brokerages that are affiliated with CoolTrade can I use CoolTrade as a intraday alert filter and enter the trades manually with whichever firm I choose?

Yes. You can do that.

If that is the case, you can just run the live simulator which does not connect to any broker.

Then you can just look at the trades that it makes, and you can enter them manually at the broker of your choice.

We had many members who had TD AMERITRADE doing that, before we were connected to TD AMERITRADE. Now they just let the Automated Trader handle it all.

I will say though, that once you start running your own automated trader, and see how powerful the system is, you will not be bothering with entering trades manually for very long.

After you run in simulator mode for a week or two, you'll be chomping at the bit to just go live. I speak from experience!

As a computer programmer and automated trader, it is good news to hear that automated trading is becoming more accessible to the masses.

I hope those using the software understand responsible position sizing methods and stop placement, otherwise they may end up lining the pockets of the larger and savvier market players. Also I hope they realize that using canned strategies is fine for smaller accounts (like mine!) but won't get it done with trades in the millions (if only I had that problem).

Actually Chabah, the CoolTrade system makes it extremely easy to adjust all of the strategy parameters, including adjustable share sizes, based on fixed shares, dollar value, or a percent of the account buying power.

All of the settings in a strategy are easily adjusted via the point and click interface. Unlike other black box systems where you have to be a rocket scientist to figure out what is going on; let alone changing anything.

The CoolTrade Strategy Wizard lays all of the settings out very easily to make complex strategies look simple and allow anyone to change them.

The CoolTrade system was designed for ease of use. You click separate tabs/screens to set rules for:

* Establishing the Watch Rules.
* Establishing the Rules for when to open positions.
* Establishing the Rules for when to Add to existing positions (as the stock goes higher and/or lower).
* Establishing the Rules for when to Exit a position.
* Establishing the Profit goals, Floating Profit Protection, Stop Loss, Trailing Stop Loss, etc. (based on fixed amounts or percentage of the entry price).
