There was a great "dumbest thing" thread that got alot of response.. so let's do the opposite...

What is the Smartest thing you ever did Trading.....

for me I have to say learning to exit trades.. either with a manageable loss or a profit. I had this nasty habit of just not getting out..

okay let's hear it..

The smartest thing I've done is not doing the dumbest thing which is using stop losses. :)

Quit
Getting in the trading business is probably one of the dumpest thing in my life. Losing social interaction with people. Although been profitable for some times but yet to make 1 mil a year so afraid to tell people I am a trader. Honestly why not just get a fking job if you can't earn that type of money.

So Yes I think, for 99% of people, quitting is probably the smartest thing. I don't think anybody like to stare at chart all day if its not because you can make big bucks or you think you will make big bucks.

My most correct decision is to use 3 years, put their 20 years of trading experience through EA automatic software to complete, can be completed in 24 hours, so that they have more time to enjoy life.

Let my algo run without interfering it! Keep my position size small enough so that I don't get hung up on losing trades to a point I start to interfere or manual trade

Be born.
And more important, be born and happens to start trading at the beginning of a raging bull market.

It is all luck. Imagine Bill Gates born 10 years earlier, he would have finished his study at Harvard and got a job like his father.
