What Is The Point Of the Apple Watch?

Agreed COMPLETELY re your first paragraph! Second paragraph points out why I doubt I'd own one. But damn, that would be cool for keeping my phone in pocket with short texts you mentioned above. If we were truck drivers, we'd probably do well with that watch, lol.
 
I have Sennheiser IE80s and Shure SE846s. The Senn are really good for the price ($300). The Shure's are equivalent to a $2K pair of cans, but I don't use them in the gym as they're too costly to get sweaty. I have a Sony Android Walkman and a Galaxy S5. At home I have various amps/DACs, but the RME Babyface is fantastic and it interfaces to Win, OSX and iPads.

Apple's EarPods are very good for $28. They leak a bit of sound, so you will have to raise the volume a bit in the gym. They're a cellulose driver made by Fostex for Apple. Excellent sound for the money and easily rival $100 IEMs.

Wow, you've got good taste! The shure brand looks like it's off the chain good. I would be scared to get sweat in them as well. I've got some beats earbuds, but the apple ear pods are also good, as you pointed. I looked up the Samsung. Around $479, and looks like quality. Just got a new Samsung curved tv, and impressed enough with it to consider whatever else they make.

Was damn close to pulling the trigger on the S5. I'm used to the iPhone though, and put off the S5 waiting for the iPhone 6. I'll admit, that galaxy has some evil camera, and outstanding screen! You sound like you like the iPhone 6. You getting that one? I'd damn near like both, lol!

I say that all the time! My son looks at me funny, but I mention how nice it was back then to not be tracked down every second of the day. For me, it started with a pager (damn, I'm old!:(), moved to one of those bag phones,:( next the big Motorola flip phone, etc., Don't get me wrong, I love the ability to have an encyclopedia, phone book, maps, and phone at my fingers; the one drawback is what you posted about. Great example, leap forgets to wash the dishes, and forgot to bring home milk, and bread. Back when, the wife would have cooled down over time, and simply make a comment when I come in the door. With cell phones, the wrath received by hubby is instant, and if no answer when she calls...:eek::eek::(
