What is the play against US inflation?

I've bought the gold ETF, I think gold has topped. I think GOLD is a storage of value not necessarily something that generates profits (esp. at today's prices).

What is the play against US inflation?

real estate? since the money that you borrow today will be paid back in cheaper dollars?

Canadian stocks are a decent inflation hedge. If inflation is high, commodity currencies like the CAD generally perform well AND the resource driven equities on the TSX.
