1: The Euro wasnt around in 1979, 1988 or 1992 so I don't see any correlation with the Euro to be honest.

What was around in the seventies was the Swiss Franc.

Back then you could get 4 Swiss Francs for 1$.

Tell me, What's the exchange rate on that today?


How much networth would be decimated if you were Swiss and decided to buy the USD "as good as gold"?

2: Ofcourse late nineties there was a euro and it's up 70% VS the USD since then...

Still can't see how this would have decimated your net wealth if you decided to leave the $....

But hey, who knows...Maybe the Fed will tighten...in 2020...
