What is the difference between traders using TA and tapereading?

Tape reader is like mind reader. Probably it is some term invented to help sell consulting services.

Tape reading has been around since the 1900's and there is no way to "teach" it.

In my ear word tapereading, I don't understand at all about this statement, maybe because never reading about tapereading, but if about technical analysis still familiar because many success ttrader also use this type analysis

what about jigsaw trading and bookmap. dont these two software companies measure order flow or tape reading.
i have to tried once to read the tape.i have still got a long way to go

Jigsaw & Bookmap track current + historical order book data and record certain metrics based on order book movement, and trades executed at each price point/tick. Jigsaw will show you T&S aswell, Bookmap will not- The premise of Bookmap is to display both Orderbook/ T&S is one visualisation, Jigsaw then tried to copy this with their "Auction Vista" product.
