What is the best type of trader to be?

Beyond being profitable, the quality of life aspect matters for me at least. I seem to have much more fun hopping on a long wave and letting the blast of incoming capital sweep my investment into outer space, than fighting the bots and flash boyz for the little ripples, several times a day. But I was never very good at that game to begin with! 
Care to elaborate how day trading is the easiest? Most would dare claim the opposite.
No holding overnight. Just looking for Momentum. Pure TA.
Swing traders have more variables to take into account - overall Market, overnight risk, News etc
Where lies the catch? Why isn't everyone doing it if it's the easiest?
Who cannot swim naked in their own pool? There's no room for vanity in this market!
