What is TA?

This thread is a challenge to the anti-TA crowd that for some strange reason(s) loves to hang out in the TA forum.

Frankly I have a hard time believing you really know what TA is.

Maybe I'm wrong.

So I have a challenge for you: give us your definition of technical analysis. To avoid rambling dissertations and to prove that you really know what you're talking about, please restrict your definition to a single sentence and 25 words or less.

In fact, I'll even spot you the first three words. Starting with "Technical analysis is", you now have up to 25 more words to finish that sentence.

The anti-TA crowd will not show up...at least not the ones that have a habit of debating the merits of TA.

My point, lots of TA definitions out there which is one of the reasons why there's so much debate because many aren't on the same page about the definition itself.
