What is Oanda market share of all global retail volume?

Does anyone know or can calculate what Oanda's percentage of global volume is. I tried to figure it out awhile back and if my memory is right, I came up with about 20% of USA's total volume. I am trying to get an idea of what I am looking at when I look at their volume on charts. Am I seeing a total aggregate of global retail volume, just in-house global retail volume, an aggregate of USA total volume or just in-house USA volume.
Any information will be much appreciated.
Thanks.

only Oanda trading volume.

Not even Oanda can answer this question as it is an OTC business and to my knowledge nobody publishes global retail volume, hence you would not know how much Oanda's share is. You can extrapolate and make assumptions, for example, global total fx flows are known to certain degrees, now you can make an assumption how much of that is comprised of retail flow (my hunch, a tiny, tiny, fraction).

OK, thank you.

Another question. When I see the volume, am I assuming correctly that I am seeing the number of transactions and not number of contracts/units/dollar amount.
Thank you

Are you looking at the MT4 volume? That is the so-called "tick-volume", it just counts every price-change, but not actually traded volume.

P.S.: considering that there is only Gain and Oanda left in the USA, they are probably having more than 20% of retail marketshare in the U.S.
