What is NX?

Sorry folks, but I have to ask this one. Like bullets, NX is a new term to me. Hey I just buy'em and sell 'em. Since they took the ticker tape machine from my office, I'm lost!

NX

are all the same thing

They refer to a route on the NYSE that is the fastest execution there is.

Limit of 1099 shares

limited to every 30 seconds in one direction

can't split up orders to keep under limit

It's turned off if bid or offer is only showing 100 shares

If the quote is say 5x1,can you nx the bid,even though the offer is showing a 1 offer?
