Market profile just shows you historical levels where price reverted or broke through into next level. Similar to support resistance levels which imply statistical outliers.

technical analysis in general doesn't give much edge... profile is the same, the tea leaves are too ambiguous.

the clarity can be greatly enhanced if you consider additional factors - news stories, earning cycles, asset class valuations.
