Syntax-Brillian Appoints Hodgson As Its New Chief Financial Officer
TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -- Syntax-Brillian Corp., which makes and markets high-definition televisions and digital entertainment products, on Thursday named John S. Hodgson as chief financial officer, effective Oct. 1.
Hodgson will replace Wayne Pratt, who plans to resign at the end of the month. Pratt announced earlier in the month that he was leaving the company to work with a longtime colleague at a startup company in Tempe, Ariz.
Hodgson, 56, has served on Syntax-Brillian's board since June 2003 and is chair of the audit committee. Syntax-Brillian said it will name a new board member to serve on the audit committee and establish a strategic committee to help enhance its relationships with investors, suppliers, channel partners and customers.
Hodgson currently serves as a managing partner at Wild Turkey Equity Partners, a private equity firm focusing on the manufacturing industry.
