Hi,
I want to branch out and trade European equities and would like to know what seasoned traders are using to accomplish this.
I recently joined Interactive Broker's TWS...but have run into a brick wall.
In their TWS...I can access all of the individual constituents within the DAX, MDAX and SDAX...but the exchange they pull from is called IBIS.
In comparison...when I go to either the official page for the Frankfurt Stock Exchange:
www.boerse-frankfurt.de
or to the trading platform TradingView:
www.tradingview.com
Both of these...(boerse-frankfurt and tradingview)...give price exchange options for either Frankfurt or XETR exchanges...and not IBIS.
I can't understand why someone would trade the German market if they can't get the direct feed that it's Frankfurt exchange is listing as it's two main market sources.
Daily closing prices for IBIS do not match up with FRA, (FWB in TradingView), or XETR.
Even my Refinitiv® data feed in Excel...gives options for either FRA...or XETR...(and not IBIS).
I've been reading that XETR is the more liquid of the two.
So how are you...if you're US based...accomplishing European equity trading?
Do you go through TradingView?
Thank you for your input...it is most appreciated.
