"Back in the day", the reference was Joe Lunchpail, which meant the average working guy. Thanks to Republicans supporting corporations shipping jobs out of the country (first to Mexico, now to China), Joe Lunchpail has turned into Joe Sixpack.
Only a Republican would see this as a sign of progress.
