what i am trying to say is that i did not become a prop trader because of Brooks-someone else explained Brook's ideas to me on a video and that cleared everything for me.

that video made it simple. there is a video for each of Brooks chapters of his book and the explanations are better or more detailed than that given by Brooks.

so you can check it out and see if it helps you simplify what you think is complicated.

everything is complicated when you do not understand it: once it is explained it becomes simple.

Getting back to the context of second entry, what is the differentiating factor that will give you a higher probability setup? That's right, MOMENTUM. You want the momentum to support you from below. Without it, it will more often than not just fizzle out. That's why first entries almost always fail (unless you're a 1-point ES scalper).

because you second entering into WHAT?

you are entering into a trend or what you call, momentum, and you are betting that the second attempt to resume the momentum or trend will actually succeed.
it can fail and in which case you must wait for a third entry.

if the trend is strong- like during a spike phase of the trend and it is first correction- then a first entry is must

if there is no trend and it is in some sort of range than a second entry will fail within 1-2 bars and then test the first entry in what is known as BO TEST.

So you have to see the context to know, whether to enter on the second entry or wait for it to fail and then try to enter for two legs down, or even fade the second entry , [i do not advice or do this, which is why i mostly scalp] for a test of swing low.
