Hmmmm...let's see. According to the stats that I can find the United States spent 55 TIMES more on miltary expenditures than Iran PLUS the other six "rogue" nations (Cuba, Iran, Libya, North Korea, Sudan and Syria). Now I don't know where/why "Cuba" has been declared a 'rogue' nation and N. Korea and Sudan probably produce less than the state of N. Hampshire so that leaves the rest, miniscule spending to Iran.

If the US is threatened in any way, shape, or form by Iran then I would say we are getting far less for our tax-dollar bucks than we should be.

Maybe we should try this: STOP being the world's largest arms exporter and STOP accounting for 53% of the world's TOTAL military spending and STOP invading/interferring in other countries and maybe, just maybe, they'll stop trying to defend themselves.

If and when they attack us we can respond accordingly.

In the book he explored the gap of information between what is going on in Iran and what Americans know. Mr. Baer visited Iran to interview suicide bombers, a grand ayatollah, the chief of staff of Iran's military forces and the terrorist chief of Hezbollah. He talked about how and why Iran will control the most vital oil and gas trade routes, how it became a hero to the Palestinian Sunnis, and how it plans to seize oil from the Persian Gulf. Mr. Baer responded to questions submitted by members of the audience. Robert Baer was a case officer in the Directorate of Operations for the Central Intelligence Agency from 1976 to 1997. The American intelligence officer who is a central character in the film Syriana was modeled after Mr. Baer. He is also the author of Sleeping with the Devil: How Washington Sold Our Soul for Saudi Crude (Three Rivers Press; May 25, 2004); See No Evil: The True Story of a Ground Soldier in the CIA's War on Terrorism (Three Rivers Press; January 7, 2003) and Blow the House Down: A Novel (Crown; May 30, 2006).«
