What indicators do you use and why?

I scalp dax futures only using trend line breaks on a 1 min chart....check it out you will be suprised.

Sounds interesting.
Would you show us such charts?

Price and volume. Nothing else matters.

Couldn't agree more Red! Couldn't agree more.

I use price by volume. That histogram is a third eye.

Nothing more beautiful than watching the trend reverse on a price with a drip of a volume.

I also keep an eye on T&S when I see the market approaching a price that had previous low volume. But I usually filter it to reflect 50+ contracts or higher.

Market profile is also extremely helpful!

Volume is an indicator that should be discarded. It is too easily misinterpreted. Thank you for your time. :)

For trading the spoos I use,

Trin because it trends
Vix because it trends

SP premium Nasdaq premium Russell premium
because from it you can detect when program buying and selling is going on and because it is a leading indicator that frequenly well tell you exactly where the spoos are going before they get there.

Tick because the extremes predict where the rest of the market will likely to buy and sell

I have been noticing how good this works also but I do not even use trend lines. I do use price channels for a guide, but my primary tools for taking DAX trades has been a non standard MACD and Stochastic set up. The DAX has had excellent trading for almost a year now since I started to trade it.
