The term “Reinfected” seems disingenuous when applied to the discussion of natural immunity.
Anyone, vaccinated, recovered, unvaccinated can get infected, carry and transmit the virus, how sick you get is the goal.
We are seeing vaccinated people infected with covid, breakthrough infections and as time goes on at a much greater pace. So the narrative evolves into “protection” those vaccinated have a much lower chance of severe illness. However this isn’t applied to those who've recovered. The measuring stick here is reinfection not protection, additionally the conversation is strictly antibody production, bypassing the innate immune system.
Imo, positive asymptotic cases would provide the least future protection but on the other hand they should validate a good innate response by the body in neutralizing the virus in it’s early stages.
To discount natural immunity via recovery is stupid. Recovering from, fighting off the virus only makes your immune system stronger.
