A minute ago you said a strong stock market was tantamount to re-election for a sitting President-in fact you called someone stupid for not agreeing that the correlation is indisputable- but now you're saying that in Nov/06-as the market was SCREAMING into new multi-year highs that people were "fed up" with George Bush, costing the GOP the mid-terms. So which is it?

Half the voters could give TWO SHITS about stocks when making an electoral decision. Even people HOLDING STOCKS are more concerned about other issues. It's not like the typical equity holder with a $65,000 401k views the market as an end all be all. Let alone the tens of millions who don't even have savings let alone stocks

Obama's approval has declined despite the rally. As did Bush's.

And no there WILL NOT BE any Obama/Pelosi/Chavez inspired test of the ATH's type rebound. In fact I won't be shocked if the years highs were made two hours ago. (although I have only the most token of shorts left)
