I don't think it's a total fabrication, Covid is real. The testing, that is a whole different story.
It's painfully obvious the testing is screwed up. How do I know with absolute certainty? Far too many people who are asymptomatic, like a absurdly too many. Fifty percent plus? Com'on, that's not just odd, it's impossible for a respiratory virus to have zero symptoms in people who are infected with a respiratory infection. Impossible!
It could be that there was such a rush to get some kind of testing going that mistakes were made. That I can buy and that explains much of the false positives. Is there more nefarious work at hand? That's possible too but not really necessary if the testing is screwed up to begin with. Whatever the case, any person with a tiny shred of credibility and honesty can conclude that it just isn't possible for so many people to be asymptomatic with a respiratory virus. Can't happen.
When have you ever heard anyone say they were down with the flu or a chest cold and had no symptoms? Felt fine but I was really sick.

Yes, you made some really good points. When you get the flu or pneumonia, you know it. You feel sick. Real sick with the flu. There is "walking" pneumonia, but you still know you have it.
