Quote from ProfLogic:
In California, if 3.5 million illegal aliens moved back to Mexico, it would leave an extra $10.2 billion to spend on overloaded school systems, bankrupt hospitals and overrun prisons. It would leave highways cleaner, safer...

Illegal immigrants value to the US economy is trillions. They are not only consumers, but they are also tax payers that pump billions into Social Security.

"llegal immigrants' value to economy? $1.8 trillion
http://blogs.chron.com/immigration/archives/2008/05/post_128.html

"If the 8.1 million undocumented immigrants who cut lawns, bus tables and perform other jobs disappeared overnight, the nation's economy would lose nearly $1.8 trillion in annual spending.

Texas, the second-hardest-hit state after California, would lose 1.2 million undocumented workers and $220.7 billion in expenditures.

The story also pointed out that the Perryman Group, an economic research firm in Waco, estimates that the annual contribution to U.S. gross domestic product by illegal immigrants is $652 billion.

= H E R D wrath = bearmarket sentiment

BEARmarket 101 Theory and Practice:

“Major bear markets are accompanied by a reduction in the size of people’s unit of allegiance, the group that they consider to be like themselves. At the peak, it’s all ‘we’; everyone is a potential friend. At a bottom it’s all ‘they’; everyone is a potential enemy. When times are good, tolerance is greater and boundaries weaker. When times are bad, intolerance for differences grows, and people build walls and fences to shut out those perceived to be different. Ultimately, persecution and war result.”

And for the record I voted "NO"

In my book, ALL are welcome to America. As for illegals, if you can get in buddy, best of luck and congrats - you earned it. Give it your best shot. You've come to the right place.

And if it was you and your family that were running across the 405/5 at 3 a.m. and were shocked to see the car slow down and turn off the headlights and no Immig. officers come out, , yeah, that was me. Glad to help you make a new life.

You're an immigration anarchist...

Illegals don't make much money, therefore they don't spend much money... and therefore they drain social services... and therefore they take jobs away from people that don't want to suck off welfare and need a decent wage to accomplish that...

IF 20 million illegals left the USA, tequila sales would drop drastically. All of the fast food taco restaurants would have a hard time selling their tacos. And there would be no one working at McDonalds or Wendys or whatever.

And I would be okay with it.

Income and value wouldn't be lost, it would help eliminate unemployment.

If they don't make much money, then their jobs don't pay much. How will those jobs suddenly become "decent wage" jobs when they leave?

Because the employers will be forced to employ citizens at minimum wage, or the employees can bring their employers to the attention of the government. Illegals can't or won't do this.

It seems that all or most other countries FIERCELY defend what they believe to be "right" for their country... Hell, in some countries, you get a bullet in the head (or at least long prison time) for stepping foot onto their land.. even if accidental.

In America, our policy appears to be "defend that which will re-elect incumbents.. regardless of the harm or cost to citizens"... Sad.
