I was not "I" when a fertilized cell. Nor at 6 months. What's the cut off for personhood? Can't say. Yes, it is legal to abort up to 6 months. But the date is generally an approximation unless one knows exactly when one became pregnant

I mispoke in my earlier post. Abortion does not equal murder in my mind, so we are speaking two different languages, and I accept that we will not agree.

I am not for abortion, I support the right to exercise that choice, and it is not murder. It is the death of a fetus which is wholly dependent upon its mother for viability. Is it murder after it is not wholly dependent upon the mother for viability but unborn?

If you feel abortion is murder, then you must regard as life and invested with personhood and legal rights any unborn being, from a fetus at the point of labor back to the lone fertilized cell. If one does not hold this view, the permissibility of abortion is acceptable. If it is acceptable, are there limits and what should those limits be? 5 months and 29 days okay, 6 months, illegal? It does seem arbitrary and absurd.

I don't think I would base my choice of a President on the two issues of abortion and gay marriage alone.
